Factors affecting heat dissipation

1. Heat transfer efficiency

1) Number and thickness of heat pipes: the more the number, the better, 2 to 4 are enough, 6 or more are high-end, the thicker the better.

2) Design of heat transfer base

a. Heat pipe direct contact: The most common solution is mostly used in low-end radiators. This method is to slap the heat pipe flat, and then you can directly contact the CPU, but after a long time, uneven problems will appear, which will affect the heat conduction effect. .

b. Copper bottom welding: The base is directly made into a mirror surface, with a larger contact area and good heat conduction effect. It is generally used on high-end radiators.

c. Soaking plate: a scheme similar to a heat pipe, which conducts heat through liquid evaporation, heat absorption, condensation, and heat release. The efficiency is high, but the cost is also high, and only high-end radiators can be used.

3) Design of radiating fins and heat pipe transfer

a. Reflow soldering: The cost of welding the two together is high, but the heat conduction effect is good, and it is not easy to cause the fins to loosen.

b. Piercing: It is to make holes on the fins, and then let the heat pipes pass through the fins. The cost is low, but there will be problems with poor contact, easy to loose, and poor thermal conductivity.

4) Thermal conductive silicone grease: Needless to say, thermal conductive silicone grease is used to fill the gap between the heat sink base and the CPU. The coating should be thin. The thermal conductivity is generally 5-8, and the high-end is 10-15.

2. Air contact area with fin

The main bearer of fin heat dissipation, heat will be dissipated into the air through the fin, so the larger the area of the fin that contacts the air, the better.

3. Air volume: The air volume is the volume of air that the fan can blow out per minute. The air volume is expressed in CFM, the larger the better.
